    I have a Sony MZ-R410 and have no compliants about the sound quality, but it only has an optical line in which can be a pain.
    But it was cheap and easy to use

    Despin- my university stick to the Sonys, but the quality always tends to be the same on Minidisc anyway (good digital quality even from my low end Sharp MD ), the input is the important thing. Digital/opitical line in is what you need.
